AGITO Global is pleased to formally announce James Cotton as Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant milestone in the company’s evolution into a leading global turnkey automation integrator.
With operations across the United Kingdom, Australia, North America and Portugal, AGITO Global designs, manufactures, integrates and maintains advanced intralogistics and material handling solutions for the Warehouse & Logistics, E-commerce, Industrial and Food & Beverage sectors. Founded in 1979, AGITO has built a reputation for engineering excellence, operational reliability and customer-focused delivery, supported by its proprietary Warehouse Control System (WCS) software platform and in-house manufacturing capability.
James has already started leading the significant transformation of the business and accelerating AGITO’s international growth strategy. Since January 2025, he has established a new global leadership team to strengthen execution capability, enhance regional delivery and support AGITO’s continued expansion across the UK, Europe, North America and APAC markets.
Widely regarded as one of the most respected and influential leaders in the global automation and intralogistics industry, James brings more than 25 years of international experience delivering complex automation programs, building high-performing teams and scaling global organisations. Throughout his career, he has led major international businesses, delivered some of the industry’s largest and most technically advanced automation projects and developed strategic relationships with many of the world’s leading retail, e-commerce and logistics operators.
With an engineering background and an MBA from Imperial College London, James combines deep technical expertise with proven commercial leadership and a clear vision for AGITO’s next phase of growth.
Under James’ leadership, AGITO is continuing to evolve into a truly global automation business – uniquely positioned as a turnkey integrator with end-to-end capability spanning software, system integration, manufacturing and lifecycle support.
